Medicines information leaflet for patients and public updated

An updated version of an information booklet providing information on how healthcare professionals decide what medicine is right for their patients has been published by Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

The booklet, Medicines in Scotland: What's the right treatment for me? explains how doctors and other healthcare professionals decide what is the right treatment for a patient, whether they need a medicine and, if so, which medicine to prescribe.

The factsheet was developed by the Area Drug and Therapeutics Collaborative (ADTCC), hosted by Healthcare Improvement Scotland. The ADTCC worked with healthcare professionals, public partners, public involvement groups and patient support groups across NHSScotland to develop the factsheet.
