Brimonidine / timolol (Combigan) eye drops are accepted for use in NHS Scotland for the reduction of intra-ocular pressure in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta-blockers alone and for whom brimonidine is an appropriate choice of adjuvant therapy. The combination product may be associated with a modest decrease in cost compared with the individual components and allows patients to administer fewer drops.
