Advice
following an abbreviated submission:
etoricoxib 60mg, 90mg and 120mg tablets (Arcoxia) are accepted for use in NHS Scotland for the symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and the pain and signs of inflammation associated with gouty arthritis, in patients for whom the use of etoricoxib is appropriate, taking account of current advice on the place in therapy of specific inhibitors of cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2).
The new tablet formulation is smaller than the existing formulation at the same cost per dose
