Levetiracetam 100 mg/ml oral solution is accepted for restricted use in NHS Scotland as an additional dosage form for adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in patients for whom therapy is appropriate. Its use should be initiated by physicians who have appropriate experience in the treatment of epilepsy. The budget impact for NHS Scotland is likely to be small.
