Olopatadine eye drops (Opatanol) are accepted for use within NHS Scotland for the treatment of ocular signs and symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.

Olopatadine is a new, locally applied, antihistamine and anti-allergen. It appears to have similar efficacy to other ocular preparations for seasonal allergic conjunctivitis and a lower price than some competitors, suggesting that it is cost-effective compared to these higherpriced products.
